TTGroup Showcases AI-Powered Machines and Smart Manufacturing Strengths at TIMTOS 2025
TAIPEI, Taiwan, March 3, 2025 — The 2025 Taipei International Machine Tool Show (TIMTOS) concluded today, with Tongtai Machine & Tool Co., Ltd. (4526.TW) prominently promoting its "Five Transformations and Two Industrial Solutions" strategy—encompassing intelligence, turn-mill, automation, net-zero, servitization, new processes, and new industries—to demonstrate the group's comprehensive smart manufacturing capabilities. As global manufacturing continues to accelerate toward digital transformation, Tongtai has focused on strengthening its product and technology integration to deliver more competitive solutions. At this year's exhibition, Tongtai established two major showcases—the Nangang Exhibition Area and the Luzhu Science Park Exhibition Area—to present its latest advancements in multi-tasking machining and automation, while officially unveiling its latest AI-powered intelligent machine, the TMS-1800S, for the first time.
The newly debuted TMS-1800S focuses on three core concepts: "AI Assistance, Collision Prevention, and Smart Operation," delivering a safer and more efficient solution for multi-axis machining users. Tongtai explained that this multi-tasking turning center integrates AI-assisted technology capable of real-time machining monitoring, potential collision risk prediction, and intelligent process optimization, thereby reducing human error and improving overall production stability.
In addition to Tongtai’s own equipment, its group subsidiaries—Honor Seiki Co., Ltd. (7709.TWO), Asia Pacific Elite Corp., and QuickTECH Machinery—also displayed their latest technological achievements, forming a complete manufacturing ecosystem. Honor Seiki presented its latest-generation VL-160CM vertical lathe, which integrates AI and smart manufacturing to significantly improve machining efficiency and precision. APEC showcased the HS1400T horizontal 5-axis machining center, designed for aerospace, mold, and high-strength material applications. Meanwhile, QuickTECH introduced the i42U turning-milling multi-tasking machine, developed specifically for the medical industry with advanced multi-axis machining capabilities.
A notable highlight of the exhibition was Tongtai’s collaborative booth arrangement with Quaser Machine Tools Inc. Tongtai stated that both companies are currently jointly expanding their European footprint through Quaser’s German subsidiary, with current cooperation covering Germany, Poland, and Croatia. Through enhanced product value and intelligent software integration, the partnership aims to deepen customer relationships and accelerate penetration into mid- to high-end application markets. In recent years, Tongtai has actively promoted smart manufacturing across four target industries: automotive, aerospace, medical, and electronics/semiconductors, deploying AI-driven precision machining technologies to provide highly efficient production solutions.
Looking ahead, Tongtai noted that overall machine tool market conditions are expected to become clearer after the end of the first quarter. Benefiting from increasing semiconductor PCB equipment demand, stable electric vehicle-related applications in mainland China, recovering aerospace business performance at APEC, and continued growth in the aerospace, green energy, and railway transportation segments at Honor Seiki, the group is targeting a return to profitability this year. Through its showcase at TIMTOS 2025, Tongtai reaffirmed its commitment to investing in AI technologies and intelligent software development, working alongside the industry toward a more efficient and automated manufacturing future.
