The first 4-axis PCB drilling machine, CPD-4000, was successfully developed.

Completed the prototype of its first machining center, laying a solid foundation for future machining center development.

Entered into a technical cooperation with Ando Electric Co., Ltd. (Japan) to jointly develop the CPD-2120 2-spindle PCB routing and drilling machine.

Established the Tongtai Industrial Union to prioritize employee rights and welfare.

Three machine models were rated Grade A in quality control and classification inspection by the Bureau of Commodity Inspection, Ministry of Economic Affairs, including multi-spindle drilling machines, surface grinding machines, and NC lathes.

The earliest Tongtai trademark conveyed the craftsmanship of precision and discipline by using the image of rulers.
