CNC Machining Tapping Center High Performance

VTX-5II

Product Overview

The VTX-5II Tapping Center combines high-torque machining capability with high-speed responsiveness, delivering cutting performance comparable to a mid-size machining center while maintaining the agility and efficiency of a compact machine.

Equipped with a direct-coupled spindle and a servo-driven tool magazine, the VTX-5II improves tapping accuracy and reduces tool change and cycle times. Combined with an A-type column structure and roller-type linear guideways, the machine maintains excellent dynamic stability even under high-speed acceleration and deceleration, enabling high machine utilization and maximized productivity within a compact footprint.

Product Introduction

ez-5ii-high-rigidity-structure

Structure with Roller Linear Guideways

Finite Element Analysis (FEA) is applied to reinforce the column and spindle head structures, increasing X-axis resistance to deformation by 25% and improving lateral cutting stability. Combined with DB-arranged roller linear guideways, the machine achieves enhanced overall rigidity and load capacity, ensuring high machining accuracy and extended tool life.

vtx-ii-high-torque-spindle-high-dynamic-design

High-Torque Spindle Design

The long-nose spindle design helps reduce interference when machining box-type workpieces. Combined with large-capacity ball bearings, an optimized span configuration, and a high-torque spindle motor, it delivers maximum torque up to 84 Nm. The three axes achieve rapid traverse speeds of up to 60 m/min and acceleration up to 1.2G, balancing heavy-duty cutting capability with high-speed machining efficiency.

ez-5ii-tool-clamping-abnormal-detection

Tool Clamping Abnormality Detection

The system detects abnormal tool clamping conditions, including incorrect tool placement angles and improperly engaged positioning keys, preventing damage caused by incomplete clamping. When an abnormality occurs, the controller immediately generates an alert, helping maintain machining quality and operational safety.

ez-5ii-servo-driven-tool-magazine

Servo-Driven Tool Magazine

The tool magazine is servo motor-driven and features a new low-backlash tool-changing mechanism for fast, stable, and low-noise operation.

Tool-to-tool change time is as fast as 1.2 seconds, while full-station indexing takes only 1.1 seconds. With a 21-tool capacity, the system delivers both high machining efficiency and reliable tool-changing performance.
